Squeaky Regulator
Recently my Beacon-Morris BMF175N fan operated heater had the solenoid in the gas valve fail. I had the local HVAC guy come by and replace it. He checked the incoming pressure with his Manometer and discovered that the input pressure was to low for operating within the specs. The specs say the input should be no more than 14 (psi?) and the output from the regulator should be around 10. He reset the regulator on the LP tanks to get the required output pressure from the regulator. Now the regulator squeaks/whistles/vibrates at around 800 Hz. He also reset the tank regulator on another heater that didn't have any problems (except the low pressure). This one also squeaks now, where before there was no such noise. Is this something I need him to come back and fix or is it just the nature of the beast? Thanks.
Leo
