Smoking Exchanger
Okay guys.. I have tried about everything when installing new exchangers to keep them from smoking up the house...anyone out there have any ideas to minimize this?

u can TRY wiping off the heat exchanger a little with a rag but that probably wont help too much....it smokes because in the factory pre shipping they coat the heat exchanger with a light oil to keep from corroding/rusting during shipping and sitting in companies warehouses.....just explain this to the customer before you turn it on and its normal and they should open the windows for a few minutes while it runs for a while....
