Rheem t-stat

Has anyone delt with these new Rheem"stamped" touch screen tsats? "fully modulating" The thing seems to only take a temp reading every 10mins or so. If I jack up the set point more than 3 degrees the system cranks out max heat and it will get up to like 80-85 degrees(set point 72) because the temp reading on the tstat only goes up 1 degree at a time. Its seems like it takes at least 30 mins to catch up,, by this time the temp in the house has dropped back down as well.
Also it keeps heating(at lowest output) when it hits the setpoint which by the way is about 3 degrees off(low of actual)

I haven't dealt with them, but how programmable are they? Are they PI (D) controlled? If they are, you need to turn down your ramp rate so it ramps slower to get to the current set-point.

Hi MSSI

I have never got the chance to mess with the one Rheem/Ruud uses. I believe it is built by Robertshaw, have to say good luck there lol. I believe the solution to your problem could either be one of the dip switches in the stat not set right, or the software is not set up or could be corrupt. I would go back into the stat and check the configuration, I bet you will find it there.

Rusty

Good luck
Rusty
