Rheem Heating/AC

My mother-in-law is looking at a townhouse to purchase. The inspector inspected the furnance and witness some material on the flue pipe (dust like) that he said may look like water had been leaking. She is concerned. Also the inspector said the AC/Heat pump and heat water heater are 13yrs old, near the end of life and recommended replacing them soon.

What might the material on the flue pipe (dust like) be?

Re: Rheem Heating/AC

LOL, your average home inspector don't know anything about heating or cooling, just how to complicate things. A good home inspector would advise the potential buyer to have this equipment inspected by a real TECH.
