Return Air Located In Bathroom
The other thread about a return location brought this to mind.
I am currently subbing for another GC, doing a bath/laundry remodel incorporating an adjacent hallway which has the existing return vent located in it. The dryer is gas. My take on it is that there is no way the return vent should be located in the bath/laundry room and I can't imagine the inspector would go for it. The homeowner said the A.C. company said it is "ok" to have the vent in there and, "It's a big room, we leave the doors open" and so on. The GC is fine with leaving it there. I just forsee having to relocate it later. It is a high veloc. system if that matters. Thanks for any opinions |

Re: Return Air Located In Bathroom
Possible scenario--Uncle Jake drinks all night at the mxican cantina and strays over for a little visit. He asks to use the restroom and a few minutes after he disappears you ,,,,uh well you uh well you uh let's just say the A/C company is your first call tomorrow

Exactly, never mind code or any of that.
Was back there today. That scenario is the perfect one to prove my point. Hopefully they will agree before uncle Jake comes for a visit. |
