Question replace a run capacitor?

Is there anything other than turning off the power, pulling the disconnect, disconnecting the old run capacitor and discharging it and connecting the new that must be done to replace a run capacitor?

You are a little out of phase. Discharge the capacitor prior to doing anything with it. Other than that, you got it.

And, it might add, that since you are unaware of the procedure to replace a 5 dollar run capacitor.... you probably don't need a new one or that's not your only problem. Call me psychic....

The cost of an item does not constitute ease of installation. And, yes I realize this may not be my only problem. I didn’t use a magic wand to get to this point.
