Question

Sorry for a question that is obvious to everyone here, but I do wallpaper and have no idea. What is the difference between a professional HVAC mechanic and a certified HVAC person who does apartment maintenance?
The answer will settle an argument I had with a friend.
Thanks

Re: Question

I would Google this one. It depends on what the argument is about. A certified HVAC mechanic is someone who has passed their state's licensing test and is certified (and insured) to do HVAC work. A professional could be someone who has experience and is working for a certified company (hence, the certified HVAC mechanic). But, like I said it all depends on the argument. Hope this helps.

Probably 10 or 12 dollars an hour. Other than that, probably nothing.

Re: Question

HVAC certified implies that the individual has documentation on his/his company's credentials ie, EPA cert, state license, NATE certs, insurance etc.
An HVAC professional implies an individual who works in the trade for a living with a mandatory minimum of an EPA certification. The implication is that this person doesn't do it as a hobby, or on the "side" but full time.
Certified usually refers to a business description, where Professional refers to an individual.
