Prv
Got a call from a customer with a leaking Pressure Relief Valve (Blow off) on a residential boiler system that to me seems redundant. It is the second of two in the system that seem to be in no way independant of each other. Additionally the leaking valve is directly down stream of the feeder valve used to fill the system from the house water. Both valves need replacing.
My question is does the system need the additional PRV. Yes I have contacted the manufacturer, and still await a call back. (It's not coming, is it). |

Re: Prv
Hi Hurley
It sounds to me that its more likely that what you are calling a prv is a backflow preventer. If this is the case, in most states it is required to keep from contaminating the potable water supply. I am just guessing here though. Good luck Rusty
