Power Outage Question?

We have a NG gas insert for ous fireplace, right now where in a high wind adversery here in Oregon, if we loose power, will the gas fireplace still work, I know it relies on power for the blower, but is there any issues if power is lost here?

The fireplace will likely start, then shut down on high limit because the blower is not running. That said, not all fireplace units need the blower to actually function. That's sometimes an accessory or an option that just makes it nicer for the occupant, and has nothing to do with proper operation of the gas insert.

Will it cause damage to any internal parts?

Nope. All gas appliances are pretty much idiot proof. They don't receive their UL rating if they can "self destruct".

Chances are it works off a miliivolt generator.no power,no blower which is 110v,but you will still have heat.Blowers are optional as far as going off on limit very unlikely, theres usually no hi limit per say just a flue limit and a temperature controlled fan switch... no probs.
