oil tank location question

Hallo -
can anyone enlighten me on the NFPA code. Specifically I need to know how close I can locate an above ground oil storage tank to the burner and electrical panel. I know the NEC code about clearances to the front of panel but I don't know anything about left or right to it.
This is your standard oil tank in a single family dwelling. The local oil company doesn't want to place the tank where I had specified it. No they don't want to move it citing some code requirement. I suspect they just don't want to go to the extra labor.

Thanks ...

Thanks ... yes. That's the only code I am aware of that aplies to the panel (NEC).

But what about the NFPA 30 and proximity to the burner? Anything there?

Thanks again

Around here the local fire department inspects all oil installations. The oil outlet of the tank has to be min. 5' from the burner. So in tight spots we just spin the tank around. As far as the electrical panel nothing can be within 3' up,down, diagnal or sideways.
