Need Help With My Shop Heat Pump

I have a Fujitsu heat pump for my shop (either 15RLQ or 18RLQ) that is not working. Temps have been really cold here, single digits during the day. The timer and operation lights flash 5 times together and then the timer light only flashes one time. My instruction manual does not tell if this is a code that means anything, just that both lights flashing is not good. It is not working at all and I do not need my paint to freeze in my shop. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

That's a "56" (5 flashes of the red and 6 flashes of the green). Something's amiss with the outdoor unit's motor. Try spinning it with an ink pen or something to see if it might be locked up as a first step. It could also be related to the controller, since I think most of those have a variable speed DC controller for that outdoor motor.

Re: Need Help With My Shop Heat Pump

MDshunk,

Thanks for the info. I pulled the top off and the fan spun fine, but I tried to knock as much ice and snow from the bottom of the box inside as possible and blew it out with my compressor, and it is running again. It runs noisier than it should, but it seems to always be noisy when it is really cold out. Now, if any one knows if there is an option part that would let me set the heat lower than 60F, that would be great (it is expensive to heat it to 60 when the shop is just sitting there).
