Hydronics Inquiry
I have some renovations going on in a building and need some advice. The HVAC gentlemen just finished piping in several VAV Boxes and I noticed that they piped the VAVs both from above and below. We had a problem a few years ago with air in the system and I can’t remember what is the most efficient way to pipe the system. Should the mains be above or below the equipment and how should the branch lines be piped.
They have combination valves with air separators and isolation valves at each branch. So I am guessing there should be know problem. However; the owner is in an uproar and any clarification ( in layman’s terms) would help. |

Re: Hydronics Inquiry
what type of vav box is it ,usually water coils are piped with the supply on the bottom ,return on top , air rises ,so it easier to get the air out if your pushing up instead of down
