Be careful where you walk, with this issue. If you read the fine print, as I understand it, you will need to have or work for someone who has the proper recovery equipment etc. That's expensive! In addition, when you get into the loop of working with refrigerants, make sure you keep the documentation up. You need to keep track of units worked on and all the refrigerant, both purchase and use. By this time you will have refrigerant scales and a couple of thousands spent. The bottom line is, you as the technician and no one else is responsible for this myrid of compliance issues. In Michigan, even with an EPA certification, you would need the state license before you can actually do the work. Property maintenance companys are the worst, for thinking they can skate around these requirements. Tread lightly and good luck!
