Question HELP! need hard-to-find part

Hello!

I am looking for a 3 1/2" black union for my boss. No one manufactures the part any longer. I am trying to find an oldtime store with lots of old parts lying around that might have it.

I know that there are ways to make adaptations; but the service manager is really only interested in getting the right part.

PLEASE let me know if you have any suggestions or know of any suppliers.

Thanks!!!

I am no HVAC guy, but your description does sound a bit vague!

3 1/2" black pipe union for gas?

There is a place locally here that handles older parts for plumping. Not sure they would have something like that.

The 3 1/2" union is for an old oil-fired boiler.

We have found both of those sizes (3" and 4") but there are problems inherent with making adaptations rather than replacing with the true part. We would like to replace it with original.

I would love the name of that store Boman47k! I think that is where we are going to find this part; older stores with large inventories.

Sorry, called and they do not even handle black pipe. In fact, I called 3 others, and one has 3 1/2" black couplings but no unions. I don't think I even thought to ask if they could order the union. You may want to call them and check it out.

Shoals Piping 1-256-383-5830. This in Northwest , Alabama.

What is the union for not oil pipe I hope. I do have a 31/2 aluminum union from a power burner.
