Other than replacing-repairing mechanical components as they need it, some systems may need to be bled, to get air out of the system and/or water added as needed.
Get a plumbing-heating contractor to give you a review of the system and its condition/life expectancy. He would be able to tell you what type of specific upkeep that system would need.
A home inspector will check to see that it operates and be able to give you some information, but will probably not give you replacement costs if you need them.
