Heat Pump Help!?!!!
Got a call today to a facility which used a heat pump to heat the building, but it isnt doing so.The refrigerant pipes go thru 2 solenoid valves (both open) to a heat exchanger cylinder which heat the hot water inside(or not as the case is).Now the input gas pipe stays hot for about 30 seconds and then goes cold, and cycles like this continously, and so is never gonna heat this cylinder, and ultimatly the building.Any ideas why this is doing so?is it a gas pressure problem?cant find anything obvious on the main programmer, and have no schematics, cant find any external stats, the fact that it cylces so frequently suggests it is calling for heat tho,so stats must be on,im an electrician not an ac engineer and am starting to struggle from here in so any help much appreciated!
Thanks guys |

Re: Heat Pump Help!?!!!
I'd throw a set of gauges on the service valves and go from there. It seems like it might be bouncing off a low pressure switch.
