gravity feed

On a 3 zone (circuit) hydronic baseboard system I have heavy gravity feed on the upstairs circuit. Each circuit is fed by it's own circ pump. Is there any other way to stop the feed other than a zone valve paralleled with the circ pump?
Thanks ...

Flow checks will stop the bleed from the gravity.

Thanks .... but why won't the gravity feed just reverse direction with a check valve?

The flow check is weighted, so as to prevent the reverse flow.

Taco, and Watts make this type check valve.

Take a peek around your system and see if there is a check valve on the supplys, note the one for the floor in question and be sure that it is in the closed position, if not it may just have something stuck in it and is keep it from closeing.

thanks ... I see the flo check valve and it is closed (top screwed all the way in). At that point does it need to be replaced?
