Goodman GMV9 blinking once

It is just recycling and not blowing any heat..just air.

Panel says one blinking is a lockout

Anybody know how to unlock myself out on this PC board??

Try turning off the power to the unit for a couple of minutes and seeing if it resets itself. There also should be a little more to the lockout code ie. lockout due to pressure switch failure or flame roll out switch etc. Try finding out what exactly is locked out so that you can either correct the issue or have a contractor get it corrected for you.

Sounds like you have a manual reset rollout switch tripped. These are normally located around your burner compartment to protect against rollouts due to blocked flues or burners or heat exchanger problems. Check each switch and make sure it is not tripped. If one is, go ahead and reset it but watch your burners for rollout (flame coming back out toward the front of the furnace instead of into the heat exchanger). If it rolls out or the limit trips again, time to call in a pro.

1 Blink means that the furnace has failed to ignite after three tries and is locked out of heating mode. Turning off the power should reset this. Try resetting the power and turn up the heat, and then watch to see if the burners ignite. If they don't, check the gas valve switch and manual shut off out side the furnace. If they are both on, have a professional check the gas pressure. If the burners do ignite and then go out, try to clean/sand the flame sensor. A coating can build up and prevent the control from sensing the flame.

On the other hand, if a flame roll-out or limit switch tripped, it should flash 4 times and the blower should run continuosly and turning the power on and off would not reset the furnace. Something could be wrong with the control board if it is flashing the wrong code.

By the way, has anyone seen where they put the rollout switches?
They are 1 inch below the burners, but in the middle of the burner. (Not where the flame comes out, but where the gas goes through -- about 4 inches from the heat exchanger openings.) Since heat rises, I don't see how they will trip in the event of a flame rollout. Seems strange.

Yup. Odd placement of those rollouts. What threw me was the fact the 1 blink and he said cutting power and turning back on wasn't resetting it. Leads me to believe there is more to the problem than a simple lockout.
