Goodman Furnace Stopped Running
I have a Goodman GMV9/GCV9 gas fired warm air furnace, two stage, variable speed. Late last night it just stopped running. The troubleshooting LED is "steady on" which *should* indicate "normal operation" or a thermostat problem. I shorted the R and W1 connection (to force a call for heat) and when holding the front cover pressure swithc closed, something on the integrated control module board starts buzzing but the fan or furnace will not start. Other things I have checked:
- the 3A fuse is not blown - the blower fan spins freely when spun by hand - their is power on both sides of the transformer I have a call into the furnace installer but it is >11AM and he has yet to get back to me. Meanwhile it is down to 39 deg in my house!!! Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |
