Geothermal Heat Pumps
has anyone installed one of these?
how have they performed? ho's happpy? oops remember imus "homeowners" i mean cost? the dept of energy has good things to say about them on their web site, just wondering about the real world. sounds interesting i am thinking of using this system on my next spec / personal res. thanks |

Geothermal is the best/most efficient system you could use. It is also the most expensive to install, but it will pay for itself in the long term in reduced energy costs. I'm pretty sure the SEER ratings for geothermal heat pumps are up into the mid 20's now compared to the 16-18 SEER air to air systems currently out there.
