Follow the same steps as above especially the flame sensor part and report back.

AngusII,

I cleaned sensor but also noticed a resistor loose too. But it has worked for almost a day without a problem. I didnt resodder the resistor but wiggled it. Thanks for your help.

sorry typed wrong colors,I put in a new dig programable T stat and so far no problems.

I agree you need to know the operations of a furnace to service them....Get your meter out and start searching for an open switch when it first fails... Look at the limit control first, maybe its weak from years of dirty filters and cutting out prematurely, check the roll out switches (some dont have manual resets) did anything change in the system ductwork? maybe not enough return anymore or heck even check the filter... thermstats are always blamed and normally not the problem. The flame rod you said was cleaned so forget about it or meter it ( should be at least 2.0 or better.
