Floor Insulation And Ducting
Recently I fixed a bouncy floor system, L shaped house, 24' wide, floor joists 2X8s with a beam in the middle(triple 2x8 lol), yep 12' span with 2x8s, decent 70's brick house
.I discovered 2 5" ducts disconnected from the HVAC while under there and reconnected them. My question is, since the floor is unisulated does it make that big a difference? About 8 foundation vents, 1500 sq ft house. Yeah they had a big power bill, I fixed the problem but they still have no floor insulation. |

So the duct is in an uninsulated space? Is the duct insulated? |

Re: Floor Insulation And Ducting
Insulate the crawl,
not the floor.
