Fireplace Insert?
I have only seen one of these, and it doesn't have a brand, but would anyone have an idea of who makes a fireplace that has a bottom ash grate and cleanout from outside? The one I saw has a cast door outside in the base of the fireplace, and can be cleaned without having to shovel ashes inside the home. Ideas guys?

Re: Fireplace Insert?
Check with the fireplace shops. I assume you're looking at a retrofit. Obviously they are to be avoided except for retrofits because you're building a fireplace and then putting a stove inside it.
Heatilator (heat it later) may have one. All this stuff really skyrocketed in cost. You may expect to pay over $1500 for a decent unit. |
