Hello fellows, I need some help with the design of a exhaust hood system, I have a client who wants me to install the hood system for him, I have serviced many in the past but never really installed any. I am planning on installing a 10x4 hood,MUA & Upblast exhaust fan, customer plans to have a broiler, 2 burner grill & fryer. My question is there any formula I can use to size the hood system accurately and what criteria should I be integrating into my plans of installation. Any help is greatly appreaciated. Thanks

Might want to check the IMC.

It will have the data youo need for determining size of the hood. As in how much larger the hood must be then the euipment it is over.

Check your local area codes also. They may have additional regs.
