Double Brick, Or Roof? Dryer Vent

Hope some-one can help me out here, got a customer that wants to install a dryer/washer in and upstair apartment. I don't do that type of thing but would like to point him in the right direction. His major concern is how to vent the dryer. It's a older home, double brick. Seeing as it's upstairs is a roof vent the way to go, or go through the double brick. Which way is recommeded? And what would you use to go through the brick?

Any suggestions would be good, Like I said I told him I won't do it, but would like to point him the right way.

Cheers

I wouldn't hesitate for a split second to go through the brick. It's no big deal. Five minutes with a core drill, and you're done. Roof penetrations are the method of last resort.

Thanks mdshunk,! That's what I was thinking, just not possitive to pass it on, do you drill a guide hole first or just go at 'er?
