Copeland Compressors

Guys/gals,
My first post here, a general contractor from Baltimore, and I thank you for having me.
I'm just trying to get a general feel for what a used, unsure if working, 10 ton Copeland compressor from a commercial application is worth. I have 4 leftover from a recent demo, not sure if I should scrap them....or try and sell em locally.
Thanks for you help in advance,
Chris

Re: Copeland Compressors

They can be worth quite a bit depending on what models they are. Are these compressors only or the complete condensing unit?

Single phase or 3 phase?

What type of compressor, hermetic or semi-hermetic?

What model numbers and refrigerant used?

If they are complete condensing units, have they been pumped down properly with the refrigerant saved in the units tanks. And have all openings been sealed after disconnection?

Re: Copeland Compressors

I don't know anyone in business that's going to buy a used 10 ton compressor. Especially a copeland.

Re: Copeland Compressors

I've been out for a while.....sorry I haven't responded sooner. I am unsure of what you were asking as far as the compressor's components. The units were stripped bare when we arrived. Just saw the compressors and they looked clean, though maybe there was some value to them, before we scraped them @ .06 cents a pound. Guess their going into the steel dumpster as well.
Thanks guys,
Chris
