Carrier Infinity 96 - Recommendations

What are the opinions of the Carrier Infinity 96 system with a 3-stage variable gas furnace 96 % eff, and 2 speed puron heat pump 16 SEER, with the Carrier digital programmable Infinity controller. What are your opionions of the system, and what systems are better than this setup. Will be installing this in PA.

I hear good things about the equipment. Other installers say it's great. In my opinion, thats a lot of fancy stuff. Money saved on energy savings will be spent on repairs should something goes wrong. I do recomend the duel fuel set-up, but the three-stage, two stage, Variable speed,...etc is a bit of overkill. I would install perhaps a sixteen seer 95 percent single stage equipment.

There have been a few times in which performing service on the v.s. motor or some other part broke down. The problem was availability of parts from suppliers. Just beware.
