Air Handler Problem`
I am just moving into my inlaws condo, they told me the furnace went out, it turns out it is an electric/ cooling air handler from carrier this thing looks pretty old, it has two small blower motors on the side with a fan box which carries a transformer, a relay switch and two other switches one that says L1 L2, and another switch which seems to be a relay but not sure, I turned on the stat to call for heat but all that happens is the blowers kick on but now power to the coils to heat up, I did'nt have my meter with me to start troulbeshooting and the thing doesnt have a schematic, It should be easy to trouble shoot since it is similar to a 70percenter, my question is if I swap it out are the new air handlers easier to install? with minimal wiring? if they are 220VAC? I was thinking of replacing it with a goodman air handler.
