AC And Humidity
I have a client that wants to disconnect from the current apartment building AC system. Its a unit that fits up in the ceiling and is plumbed with chilled water from the building and thru ducting in his ceiling cools the rooms.
He has respiratory problems and the unit gives off a lot of humidity. I am not that familiar with AC systems and was curious if the humidity is a function of it being a chilled water system? When I think of AC systems they are usually pumping dry air out. Does anybody know if there any other solutions that could replace the existing unit, that wouldn't create the humidity. He is not allowed to install any part of the AC system outside the walls of his unit. (it can't be visible from the outside) thanks, |

Re: AC And Humidity
First off if his a/c system is giving off humidity rather than getting rid of it then it isnt working properly. When hot moist air hits a cold coil the water vapor in the air condenses on the cold coil and is removed via the condensate drain. I would have a pro look at the system and find out what the problem is.
