Its funny, but this pisses me off.

"Police said he apologized to the startled homeowner, but was fired. The homeowner paid Honniball for the finished work, but deducted $200.

"He kept out that amount to change his locks," Oakland Police Officer Jesse Grant said."

That is bulls**t, he did the job and deserves all of his money.

Sorry Cole, if I came home and found any type of workman in my house buck naked, he be lucky to get out alive, let alone paid. If you had a wife and/or daughter, you'd understand that line of thinking.

Yeah having my daughter walk in on somebody naked in my own home would have a bad ending for that person

OAKLAND, California (AP) -- A carpenter who keeps his clothes clean by working in the nude was arrested after a client returned home early and found him building bookcases in the buff.

Percy Honniball, 50, was charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure this week for the October incident.

He told officers he stripped before crawling under the client's house to do electrical work because he didn't want to soil his clothes, police said.

Honniball said Thursday that working in the nude gave him a better range of motion and that a skilled craftsman can work clothing -- and injury -- free.

"In certain situations such as demolitions where you are smashing rock you want to be clothed and protected because this rock can harm you," he said.

Honniball was caught working naked in Berkeley three times in the last six years and put on probation for violating a city ordinance. Honniball said he doesn't plan to do work in his birthday suit again.

Police said he apologized to the startled homeowner, but was fired. The homeowner paid Honniball for the finished work, but deducted $200.

"He kept out that amount to change his locks," Oakland Police Officer Jesse Grant said.

No I agree, I would have fired him but paid him what it was worth.

I would have no deducted anything.

What I am trying to say is, he did not hit on his daughter, or stole anything etc...

No need to change the locks or hold out $200.

PWG - you do have a point.

Re: Uniform Policies... (naked Carpenter, Threads Merged)

I wouldn't blame the homeowner for withholding the cost of the lock change, especially since the guy has gotten in trouble for the naked work before. Mine thinking would be if he is nuts enough to work in the nude then what else would he be nuts to do? If he felt that strongly about it then he could take it to court.

Re: Uniform Policies... (naked Carpenter, Threads Merged)

What I am trying to say is that if he finished the job and apologized for being naked then why the $200 dollar fee?

I'd hold back $200 but apologize to him for keeping his $200. That sounds fair.

Don't think the 200.00 is an issue. But I question his logic. If your body is dirty, wouldn't your clothes get dirty from the inside when you dressed? Did he use their shower before he clocked out? Strange.

Re: Uniform Policies... (naked Carpenter, Threads Merged)

When we arrived at the warehouse, the delivery truck was backed up to off-load
The driver was not in the cab
I sent my female employee back to open up the warehouse doors to be ready for the driver when he got back with his cup of coffee or whatever

Well, the driver was in the cargo area of the delivery truck waxing the dolphin
She opened up the doors to find him....waxing away

...not a good day that day
...not a good day
