Saw your hand off much?

Sorry about the poor picture quality, but this was just too funny not to snag. How do you think this carpenter originally lost his hand?

Probly doing what he is doing right now!, only his hand slipped in front of the saw. He should invest in a set of saw horses! Although I shouldn't talk, I've been know to cut a few boards on my knee or holding them in mid air

I can't really see what's going on, but I hope he is cutting that angle on purpose?

Judging by the blade depth and the plywood thickness, could have been operator error. Looks like he is cutting a radius.

Thank God the picture I was expecting to see wasn't there, I had to look, don't know why. Be careful around people with those hooks they can pinch pretty good. There was a girl in school (1st thru 3rd grade) that had two of them and found it necessary to pinch me with them.

On the bright side, if he has another accident with that hand, a blacksmith is probably much cheaper than an orthopedic surgeon.

OK that reminded me of the guy who came into an interview claiming to be the best carpenter in the area. I looked down and seen he had 2 fingers cut off. I got to admit my first thought was "must be a good carpenter, he wont even stop when his fingers get in the way" We did not hire the guy.

I'm not so sure he 'lost' his hand, - - it was just at some point in time that it was no longer connected to the rest of him . . .

There's also the remote possibility that he was really born with two hooks, - - and after accidentally cutting one off, - - they replaced it with a hand . . .

(Do you happen to have a picture of his mother??, - - maybe she was a hooker)

Looks like a Lowe's logo on the nail apron, could that be a clue?

My nephew nearly cut his own arm off in the same place.
He learned a lesson about pinning the gaurd back on a model 77
he quit being a carpenter after that.
