Safety Lessons Learned
Hey all...
I am having a safety talk this month stressing the need to set an example in regard to safety. So many times we take for granted that nothing will happen to us, but we should never take safety for granted. An example I will be using is as follows... When we leave our safety glasses resting on our foreheads rather than in place over our eyes, our actions are saying "I believe in wearing eye protection but not in protecting my eyes". Many of us have had to learn the importance of safety the hard way. Setting an example of wearing our PPE may prevent newbies or others from injury. Some of the scars I have are due to not taking the time to think things through and use the safety equipment I should have. Please share what you have learned over the years. Maybe we can help someone prevent injury in the future. Last edited by Sonia; 02-10-2010 at 04:33 PM. |
