Moving Day Mishap

Here's a bit of free advice. Don't tilt boxes that are up on a high self in order to get them to slide off without checking to see if some old 10" Diablo saw blades are on top. Belive me when I tell you it is no fun to take a blade to the face.

I'd upload a picture of I knew how to do that from the iPhone as I drive 6 hours tonight for work tomorrow.

Hey Mac

I will be in Long Beach/ Ocean Park through Thursday. I was heading home two weeks ago and I missed the 101 turn and took WA 4 to just south of Mt St Helens.

This coastal work is windy and wet...just like I like it. (yeah right)

Re: Moving Day Mishap

As a note on a similar subject, never drop a 24' CCA 2x12 on the horses without making sure a framing square isn't hanging over the edge of the lumber already on the horses. I got hit over the left eye with the edge of the square. First, I saw lightning, then storm clouds, then I got up off the ground bleeding badly. First of 2 times I knocked myself out. Second time had something to do with a catspaw and a 12D galvie who's head decided to break off.

Man, that is just too frickin' close! Glad you're still able to shamble around looking at least semi-human.

Never let the 16' or 18' hook ladder drop the last 2-3' to the ground, unless you're turned the hooks back inside the ladder rails. Catching one of those in the center of the head can be serious! I did it once.
