What distributors do you use?
Up until now I've used GrayBar because they're 15 minutes away from my house. In previous retail businesses, I've always kept at least 3 distributors to cover all the products I wanted to carry, and to get the best price on each item.
I'm looking for 3 distributors that offer easy online ordering, and are a member of CEDIA. So far, I've got D&H for some of the electronics, mainly because I used them for a computer business I ran about 4 years ago. I'm having a hard time finding good companies for my wire, fittings, wall plates, control panels, cabinets, IR equipment, etc.
Any suggestions?

To name a few do a google search for the following.
Tri-ed Distribution
Alarmax Distribution
Eastern Distribution
As for ADI only when I have no other choice.
Good luck.

Did you say Aphids. I thought they were a small bug that hangs on the underside of leaves on certain plants.......................
I wish they could check in at the boarder and get their DTD shots before coming south..................................
Whoops!!! You said AVADs not Aphids.
Sorry that's very different, my mistake.
What is a AVADs????
Have a good rest of the week.

I use Graybar mainly because they are 2 miles from my office. They are more expensive but it's like having everything in inventory without having to pay for it before I use it. Anixter seems to have better pricing but more problems in filling orders. We did a project last year with Graybar and another this year with Anixter. Graybar was able to ship several million dollars of product to our job sites across the country on time and with the exception of one part, everything in stock. One example with Anixter, a single job site received about 15 shipments over three weeks time, unacceptable.
You can also shop for product on the Internet and get some pretty good deals if you can buy quantity. I went from $235 to $140 on cable, $3.45 to $.95 on patch cables, $244 to $45 on RJ45 connectors. These are just a few specifics where I was able to reduce costs substantially.

If you are looking for landscape lighting distributors the main ones for the low voltage outdoor lighting industry are: Cascade, FOLD, Calite, and LandscapeLightingWorld.
