AT&T U-Verse

Anybody sign up for this service yet? I signed last night and have hookup scheduled for next week.

Just curious if anyone has had any experience with it or it's pros and cons

The prices are certainly beating Comcast for what you get.

Edit: Probably should have posted this in Off-Topic

I spent a couple weeks looking online, they had door to door people running around to sign people up. In my little 45 unit condo complex only 2 of us are trying it.

I did get the first month service free ($ 99.00) and a rebate check of $ 100.00

One of my cousins lives 6 blocks from here,
she has it for a year now and likes it (likes
not paying Comcast even more).
It's still not available for my house.

Thats available where i live. I get a flyer everyonce in a while for it. But i just blow it off. See my phone is AT&T plus i have there dsl at home which only cost me 9.95 a MONTH. I bet you guys aren't getting dsl for 9.95 a month and i got free modem. Where i live you can bundle all of that up. Cable, phone, dsl, cellular for like one monthly payment to at&t. They offer different packages.

ive had uverse for about 3 weeks now, and i couldnt be more pleased! though FTTP would be the ****...someday lol.

if at all possible use only the ethernet connections on the residential gateway. if you use coax via hpna, combined with old/cheap/bad coax and splitters you will have macro-blocking almost for sure.

fwiw...
