low voltage license

Question
I am a AV installer from Minnesota. Licensed by the State for low voltage. I have a client living in Colorado who is building a Retreat center there. Does my license from Minnesota do me any good in Colorado? I kinda get from visiting different websites that the State doesn't require a license for audio, video wiring but the local government does ? I'm a little confused.

Colorado does not have a licensing requirement low voltage work, however, certain counties may require NICET certification if you are planning to design and install a fire alarm system. I would recommend that you check with the city or country regarding any individual requirements
