Adding Phone/internet Line - Office Remodel

Don't know if I'm barking up the wrong tree here, but....

I'm doing a small office remodel - mainly just adding some partition walls w/ doors, etc.

A couple of the walls will need a phone line added/included, I think for internet too.

Who would I call here? The phone co?

The business owner seemed to think it would be easy for ME to just add in the extra phone lines, but I'm a carpenter, not a low or high voltage guy!

any thoughts?

Have an LVE come in and do it if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

Sure, here is a thought(s).

Like KevinACrider said call a LVE but the term may be difficult. Check the phone book under Tele/Data services.

Another would be to find a small Alarm Dealer to help. You can tell who is the 'small guy' by the size of their ad.

If you called me and paid for the airfare I would be there to help.

Good luck.

Thanks - it's not something I want to mess with myself, then get a call back in a month saying I've crossed their phone line with a 900 sex chat

Re: Adding Phone/internet Line - Office Remodel

You can also just look for an audio video custom installation firm. In Florida they all should be LV licensed. The majority handle phone and data networking along with the various av systems.
There are a few things to consider, in the office is there a Phone system? Are they adding a new phone? (programming could be needed) Termination at the system can be confusing if your not familiar with them. So it makes sense to find someone, try to have as much info as you can when calling around.
