It would seem illogical to me that a 100% commission salesperson could NOT be a high pressure salesman. How would that work? Why wouldn't you offer a salary drawn from commission? Seems to me, with these types of jobs, that there should be a shared risk by employer and employee. No?

Just curious.

There is a tremendous shared risk if I am paying expense reimbursements and spending over $1k per month (per sales rep) to generate leads for the sales rep. Not to mention time training and provide phone useage, office space and vehicle expense reimbursements. As stated again, there is tremendous employer risk. If the sales rep can't sell the employer is already out thousands of dollars, not counting potential lost profit.

High pressure is not needed to "close" a sale. All that is needed is a genuine care for the customer's needs and a thurough knowledge of the products and services you are promoting. If you are a genuine knowledgeable person, there is no need to close. High pressure is for those people who don't really know what they are selling and don't have much personality.

If you meet the above criteria (genuine and knowledgeable) and can show up on time and sober and willing to put in no less than 40 hour weeks and get paid winter vacation (unemployment) there is tremendous earning potential once you get past the initial start up hump. I, as an employer, don't break even until a sales rep works for no less than 3 months and generates conistant sales.

By the way, we are still hiring although we have all but phased out windows and siding as an offering as of 2008, and are now focusing heavily on residential, multi-family and commercial roofing and gutter services.
