FL GC Looking To Qualify An Additional Company

Why would you want to put your certification on the line for some unknown? My guess is you are in it for personal gain and want a cut of all the work they do under your certificate?

Grumpy, that's pretty much standard here in FL. And the process also states that the Certificate Holder" and opt out of financial repsonsibility, which he should if he's not running the business.

It's nothing more than one of the thousands of typical business deals done across the US each day.

It seams very sneaky and underhanded to me that someone would certify a company that they have no involvement in. It seams very sneak and underhanded to me that a company would operate under someone elses license lie that. That's a way for the low-ballers and unqualified morons to open, and or remain, in business.

I know I can "certify" up to 3 roofing companies in the state of IL... however I would not risk my license unless I had controlling stake.
