Electrical Apprenticeship - Looking for useful advice and info.

Hi guys,

I'm pulling my application together for an electrical apprenticeship as an inside wireman in San Diego.

I'm originally from Scotland and I used to run my own property renovation and rental business. However I'm rebooting my life and I love working with my hands and solving practical problems hence I'm going for an apprenticeship in a trade I think I'll enjoy. Downside is that I'm 28 and just finishing the LEGAL immigration process and have to get everything done by Aug 30th.

I'm looking advice and opinions on what you guys would look for in an apprentice to increase any chance I have to be selected from hundred's of other applicants.

Also I've read through the forums and unlike most new posters I'll be harder to get rid of than a fart in a space suit...

Thanks
