For anyone considering that proposition, I urge you to look into the "rule of law" - or rather, the lack thereof, in Dubai. Very easy to not get paid, or worse. Much worse.

Actually alcohol is only illegal for muslims. From what I hear Dubai is a jet setters paradise.

You get it.
Dubai is in a big crash, financing has dried up, projects are stalled or dead. Whole place being kept alive by royal family money.
I think the proper term is "house of cards"
If you look at that website listed here about Dubai and read the captions, you'll notice that a ton of what is on there hasn't been built at all or the completion dates are long past and the buildings still aren't done or don't exist.

Isn't there a resort in Dubai built on man made islands? I seem to remember that from an episode of Extreme Engineering. Or is that in Saudi?
Great show, I need to watch it again on Netflix.

looking for work
i would like more info on going overseas to work my cousin and i are journeyman carpenters and hve been in a union for around 17 years and have done construction all are adult lives we are looking to travel for awhile and work thanks,ed
