XLM Decking -what Blade Do I Need?

I spoke w/ the dealer yesterday about needing a special blade to cut the XLM. Materials were delivered today. Dealer sent a 40 tooth finish blade which I thought was the wrong thing - (thought you need 40 tooth thin kerf blade). Called TimberTech and the lady said any 40 tooth finish blade will work. Will be installing on Monday and really don't want to mess up any boards. So what's the right answer..........thin kerf or finish? And should TT be supplying this? Lady w/ customer support said they didn't send out any blades.

It seems to be unofficial about TT supplying the blades, most come seem to come from the reps to TT certified installers.

Any 40T should work, a quick suggestion, don't cut it twice- I mean if you let the boards hang past your framing, don't cut it close, then trim it up- strike a line, and cut it once.

Hope this helps,
~Matt

Look up my post from a few weeks ago. I put the model #'s in the post. It MUST BE A THIN KERF.

Thanks, Greg. I don't understand why TT can't just give you the right info so you can do it right to begin with. Evidently, my dealer got the same "any 40 tooth finish blade will work" information when he called or he would have sent me the thin kerf.

I don't get this?
No matter how much it hangs?
What's the deal?

I type poorly...

If you try to trim off, say, 1/8", it will cause it to want to chip up more, than if you cut off, say, 2". You almost have to treat it like a fragil wood veneer, than a traditional composite.
Mind you, this is not from my personal experience, but from my guys who have been installing this stuff.

(Did I help?)

I was able to use a power plane on XLM with no tearout. I suppose that's good.
