I'm glad I haven't sold any weatherbest decks in the last 3 years.

On this website it mentions that
"LP will continue to replace at no charge the limited number of decks determined by inspection to be affected by deterioration."

Does this cover Labor, or is the H.O responsible for this cost?

The FAQ says labor is included; LP will find a contractor.

Man, this thread scared the crap out of me...I just had 800 sf of Weatherbest delivered today. Turns out it was made after 2007, so it's ok. Jeez, why did I ever quit smoking...

Who still has weatherbest? They were bought out by fiberon a while back... I would be a little leary.

It's amazing anyone purchases LP products. That company is always fighting major lawsuits.

It was the last batch; the lumber yard set it aside for me 3 months ago. My client picked it out, and two weeks later it didn't exist anymore (back in Feb.), but they had the quantity I needed left.

Hope you ordered heavy....wouldn't it suck to be a couple of boards shy on a project using a discontinued product.

Measure 3 times cut long and then trim again.

Re: Weatherbest Decking Recall...

I have some local friendly compatition that was pitching WB hard, along with not cutting down trees and all that bullllll****tttt. I of course was going with the S American lumber. We meet up at a bid sometimes pretty good guy. A Contractor has got to garb an edge some how.

I bet his projects look pretty fancy right now. Really that stuff just looks like a heart breaker stood up for the Prom with a flower in his fingers,a broke down smoken pick up out by the curb and no one anwsering the knock J.
