Post some pics in this thread of two of your fences - one of your $70/ft. fence and one of your $45/ft. fence. Give us a breakdown on materials used and time on task. I'd like to see a fence w/ 1x8 redwood slats.

Advice: Do a kick ass job and ask clients if you can use them as references. Give the references to potentials and ask them to follow up on them. Let your good work speak for you. When you do a good job, people usually have no problem recommending you. ALWAYS clear it with your clients before giving out their name/number.

13 1x8 RWD
Fencing @ $5.00 ea. = $65.00

4 bags concrete @2.50 80# bag = $10.00

That's $84.00 before sales tax Multipled by 4sections = 32ft. $336.00
Your math is off - you only have one 4x4 per 8' section plus one extra for the run: (4) sections = (5) 4x4s

And yes, pretty much everyone is pulling your leg. You don't get to come in here and specify what people need to tell you regarding how they price things. We'll either ignore you or mock you...pricing is not a popular topic here. Period.

I'd love to know how you get $70 a ft out of people, i can have the nicest red or white cedar custom fence built for between $80-180.00 per section. add another $40-$60 for labor per to install.

He's in SF.
You should see the rent for one
room with a murphy bed and kitchenette!
Prices out there make my eyeballs
hurt.

I have built cedar fences with lattice toppers here in Savannah for around $50 per ft., I sell the PT version for $30 or so.

It would be nice to put a $70 price tag on one of them.

Who do they sell to , Helen Keller ? All the prices i see here don't seem very realistic. Think about it $70 per ft, thats one section built and installed ,$560.00, unless its something incredibly complicated and using an exotic species, I'm not seeing it.

Now my head hurts thinking about it, at those prices i could easily clear approx $15,000 a day.
