Time Budget For Dekor Lighted Balusters?

Anyone ever install these before? Looks "not simple" so I am thinking one hour per six foot section right now.

Believe it or not, I'm installing a cedar deck. No...not the color cedar. Real cedar. Don't worry, I can't believe it either.

I can't remember the last time I built a wood deck railing. Really. I can't.

Should help being wood. Wood is always a little easier to work with. I imagine a dado down the center of the top 2x would work well.

Did you order their wire? I just placed an order for some of their lights and wire for the first time so I will be a noob at it as well.

Although the hollow posts in composite would help with running wire...

I used to order the wire from Dekor, but it's cheaper to buy it in bulk from a local irrigation supply house for me.

I just ran some numbers and with the materials and labor lighted Cedar railings (14 kits) would be over $7000. It's actually more than the small deck addition I sold them.

It is funny how expensive those suckers are. I ordered one lighted basket to have around and see how it would look mixed with deckorators plain balusters. I cant see paying $4.13 per baluster for plain black when I pay less than $2 ea for deckorators. Its already a lot to do a diamond with the lighted baskets in each section much less pay 2x as much for the in fills.
