Stringer Spacing For Trex Brasilia?

Hey guy's, I know alot of you guys don't like trex but the wife and i really like the looks of the Brasilia Cayenna.I just poured a patio and need to build steps, there only going to be 4 rise and six foot wide.My question is spacing for the stringers for the Brasilia series.I read the spacing for the stringers on the website and they said 9 inch centers does that seem right.Any help would be great before i buy it,Thanks.

I am going to do closed risers.I think it looks better and I have two little kids, don't want them climbing through them.I just never used the Brasilia series.

Yes ,I really don't want to see the screws but i'm pretty sure we are going with the white vinyl rail ( Tam rail) as of now.

Re: Stringer Spacing For Trex Brasilia?

trex has some pretty nice white composite rails out, with nice balaster inserts and you can swap the color to brasilia on the top rail. basically use your imagination with multiple rail parts!

GOOD LUCK and post some pics when your done!

No Problem,

Hey just watch out if your buying from that railing place in south jersey deck tech i think .

that stuff will not be warrantied from trex, its all seconds that was rejected to be sold in the us and was meant for over seas. i spoke with my trex rep at a lumber yard function about decks!

i had 4 estimates out and i told him whats the deal. its 1.70 there,2.30 @ lumber yds,2.80 at the lowes and hd..prices are all over the place this year!

Most will let you go 16oc if,
you have a solid riser, and if,
you have a flat 2X6 block between
the stringers in the center of the tread.

what the trex rep told me,that what ever does,nt pass the quality control gets denied. and it goes in containers and gets shipped to other countries. for pennies a board ft!
this guy somehow bought the containers @ ports and that is the only reason he can sell it for a $1 less a LF than any one else and still turn a profit!

i personally never saw the product up close! but i was bidding 4 decks and when i came across the advertisement i got real excited about the potentail profit i was gonna see! then i called a trex rep to complain about
why my local places where i bought hundreds LF of decking could not give me this price! So theres your answer. from what i understand the seconds will fade faster, and could turn deformed if the Temp outside gets to hot. they did not meet the us market standards! CALL TREX REP AND ASK YOURSELF.
I was building for customers so i need the warranty.

Tell the guy you want matching trex Railing and see what he says! i believe hes only got decking so you will pay full price if not more for trex railing..LOL

hi;I just finished a large brasilla duck on my own house and went with 16" centers which trex says is fine for residential. It does seem ok but hot weather might make it spongy,as far as the brasilla goes i hate it.It looked great until we actually used our deck, this stuff is junk.your dog, kids, furniture, bbq, even spilling beer will all ruin this material in a matter of days,it's like walking on egg shells. If I put this junk on a clients home we would soon be back tearing it out, totally unaccecptable product
