Simpson Ab46

Hi -

my lumberyard discontinued carrying these post bases. They are for 4x6 posts. Does anyone know where I can get them on line?
Thanks ........

http://www.strongtie.com is simpson's website. They have a dealer locater button, you can type in your zip code and find other dealers near you.

Another option is to contact the Simpson sales rep that covers your area and ask him/her if they can help get the product shipped to your lumberyard.

As the AB is more of a consumer product, not a professional one, another option is to go the the great Satan and see if they carry it (Home Depot, of course!)

ABU46, ABA46 and ABE46 will all do the same job that AB46 does, they are all standoff bases. The ABU is a heavy duty post base that, in addition to having nail holes, also has two 1/2" holes for bolts.

Re: Simpson Ab46

Thanks ... but nobody around here carries any of the 4x6 AB series, thats why I am looking to order on line. My preference is the AB46R base. I know it's not common to use 4x6 as posts, but I like to use them rather than 6x6s .... I feel I am not sacrificing in structural support by using 4x6s over 6x6s and they look better and are easier to handle.

So if you or anyone knows where I can get those brackets on line I'd appreciate it.

Thanks again ....
