Post Boot -- Underground
Anyone heard of postboots for 6x6 or 4x4 posts to protect the underground portion of the post? I ran across postsavers at the deck show last year, but those are factory applied. I'm looking for something that could be applied in the field. I'm sure I saw them in a trade magazine somewhere, but now that I need them I can't find them.
Thanks!

Re: Post Boot -- Underground
I've often wondered about a product like that, never seen one, but wondered.
Good luck in finding one, and if, when you do, post a link please.

Re: Post Boot -- Underground
Maybe we invent it.
I'm thinking some type of rubber membrane, slightly larger than the post. Apply some heat/flame to it in the field and it shrinks tight. Anyone want to put up the capital?

Re: Post Boot -- Underground
Modified torch down roofing would work.
