Not Fully Treated Lumber
Anyone else notice, mostly in 6x6, that when cut the ACQ does not fully penetrate the post. In fact very little. How do the lumber mills get away with this? why is this not a major concern?

I have noticed and thought well if that was the bottom (no cutting required) that's O.K, however if you notice the bottom of the lenght is usually treated as deep as the sides and assumes that's all they could do. We don't do many deck jobs that require 6x's but I do wonder...

It would take alot of pressure to penetrate the entire 6". you do have to use preservatives on end cuts. This should be enough to preserve the wood; in my humble opinion.
