My Next Project
Starting Layout & footings on this one next Friday. My biggest to date. Drawigns not 100%, bottom stair rail isn't flared out & I'm missing a small section of rail at the upper stair, but you get the idea. Three levels, all pressure treated, deckorators balusters, fire pit. Looks like it might turn into a new relationship with an upscale custom builder too.

Re: My Next Project
you doing lighting I hope, or at least a section of rail across that pit surround perpendicular to stair run. That relationship between stairs and pit surround (while may not be a code violation) looks like a future ankle breaker for sure, and a possible american history X on that pit. nice drawing

Re: My Next Project
Thanks guys!
Mason's doing the fire pit. I'm doing everything else. Their original budget was $6,000 . So they've had to stretch it quite a bit. This one came in WAY over that. So I'm going to bring up the lighting once it starts to come together, because I know they would not go for it right now. I'll wait until they start to get excited about it being done. Sneaky sneaky. It's mostly open so it should still be easy to install after the fact. I agree that some lights would look pretty sweet in those risers around the firepit. It's a nice looking deck, but some well placed lighting would take this deck to the next level.Just landed this small one about 2 minutes ago. Lower part is existing. God I hate lattice! Fugly stuff! Re: My Next Project
lol dont ya hate that the deck is up int the air you think you are done and they go we would like lattice under the deck EWWWWW. i had a customer that wanted lattice and AFTER i was done asked where is the door to get under there(deck was 6' off the ground)
looks like you may need another beam to support the overhang on the main deck but looks awsome non the less
